I've been running two different groups through AV:E, both to great success. I cannot adequately explain how strongly this release improved the experience. Integrating the Menace, Troubles, and Abomination Vaults is only the beginning. Revamping parts of levels to add more depth, offering additional encounters to challenge the players, and giving the group an excellent opportunity to leave town and see more of the world. We even get a more in-depth backstory and NPC investment in the adventure, which means we're able to roleplay more complex characters with opaque motives. EVERYTHING has worked for my groups, so far.

I'm utilizing about 90% of what's proposed, here. My lead group is about halfway through the story, and we are 38 sessions in. I've gotten laughter, tears, and a couple of almost TPKs. I am running this in FoundryVTT, and I spent about 3 months updating the official Paizo journals and maps to ensure I had everything in place for this campaign. I've been capturing one of my groups and uploading the videos to Youtube under "Otari by Gauntlight".

As far as I'm concerned, this is the definitive version of Otari and the Abomination Vaults. I would never run it without this additional material, and I honestly feel sorry for anyone who didn't get to experience Caliddo stalking them through the halls of the Arena.

Do not miss out on this if you are interested in running this Adventure Path.

The AV campaign is already great, but this elevates it to entire another level. There is suddenly so much more nuance and depth to Otari and its people and changes to Vaults themselves are amazing too. I didn't finish AP yet, but turning Urevian into Disney villain is something I'm looking forward to. Just the work on NPCs alone deserves praise, but tying it all together in dozens of pages that are easy to read is something unbeliveable. Terrific work of art.

Three reasons to get this: 1) excellent potential additionas and changes; 2) identifies areas where the GM might want to add or change something themselves; 3) ideas on how to incorporate additional Paizo content written about the area where the adventure takes place.

There is no way that I'm going to use all the content in this product, but I have used some of it and I will be using other parts. It's very helpful and creative and encourages GM creativity. The additional background info on adventure NPCs is something that is easy to rely on and productive in game.

At nearly 90 pages, this Guide has a lot of well thought out and expanded notes on the Abomination Vaults adventure as well as the town of Otari. It is well organized leaving me hopeful that it will be a corenerstone for my upcoming run of the Beginner Box (aka Menace under Otari) -> Trouble in Otari + Abomination Vaults.

Having a second set of eyes with advice on how they ran the adventure is much appreciated and at least makes this part of learning Pathfinder and converting a pre-published adventure to be balanced for my gorup of (typically) 7 players easier.

With this being put out as pay what you want, it is (quite literally) a steal. Don't hesitate, give it a try and come back to put some money towards it once you see the value for yourself. At least for me this product is easily on par with the Abomination Vaults GMs Guide that asks for $5.99.

A really good Rescource. Provides a nice expansion for book 2 to get all the Rseguard equipment as well as creating a great Session 1 thats introduces the players to everyone in town. Tells you how to merge the trouble in Otari adventures into Abomination Vaults as well.
