Rare Ancestries: Ifrit Genies

An image replicating the text from the cover that reads Rare Ancestries: Ifrit Genies

Play an actual fire genie developed to accompany the lore in Rage of Elements, balanced and fully compatible with the Remastered GM Core and Player Core, created by Infinite Master Grady Wang (freelancer for Paizo, Roll For Combat, and Team+), NPC folio designer MicahDraws, and Sinclair's Library developer Tabletop Obscura!

An ifrit fighter prepares for battle, crossing his dual flaming swords in front of him. This product contains:
  • 1 Rare Ancestry, the ifrit (formerly efreeti) genie
  • 6 Heritages, with one heritage including 7 subtypes
  • 23 Ancestry Feats
  • 2 Ancestral Weapons specific to ifrits
  • A backstory toolbox containing expanded ifrit lore and guidance on creating a backstory for your ifrit, along with GM tips on tying possible stories and characters into adventures
  • Pathbuilder 2e Custom Pack ready to import and add all our options for your character to use!
The cruel and domineering ifrits who rule the Dominion of Flame are the antithesis of most player characters, but what if you were a rebel? In this ancestry, you start as a relatively depowered ifrit genie cut off from your home Plane of Fire. Just as Atreia, the recently freed benevolent elemental lord of fire, is attempting to regain his former glory after untold years of imprisonment, you too are on a journey to reclaim what you have lost.

Your heritage describes how you became separated from the Plane of Fire—you might be a benevolent follower of Atreia who crossed the Dominion, an ancient ifrit from the dawn of creation following the guidance of prophecy to prevent calamity, an absent-minded scholar who lost their way home, or even a victim of a genie binding gone wrong, your life now entwined with the mortal spellcaster who summoned you! For players who wish to play a darker character or an evil campaign, you may even be an ifrit who agrees with the tenets of ifrit supremacy that pervade the Dominion of Flame, you just think you should be the one ruling the empire instead!

As you level up, you'll become a fully powered ifrit. Incinerate your foes with a hail of fireballs, fly on bursts of flame, become a large-sized menace on the battlefield, use your connection to the fundamental elements of the universe to tempt mortals in any language, and even gain the power to grant (and twist) wishes!

We're excited to make more rare ancestries, including all the remaining genies! Your feedback helps us determine which ancestries to prioritize (and which VTTs to support), and we'll also update our products to fine tune rules and balance as we hear your stories about how they played!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
