The newest book in the Golarion Unseen line, Ancestries introduces four new ancestries to expand your stories and your parties like never before. Will you play as the treacherous demons, filled with malice or perhaps hope? Maybe the mysterious Ayindilar are more to your liking, wardens against the horrors of the deep, the evils of Sekimina. Perhaps you will cross that ancient war and take on the mantle of the Sekmin, an ancient empire that wakes from its milenia slumber. Finally, and stranger still, you could bear the curse of the Medusa and all who gaze upon her.

  • 4 new ancestries
  • 25 Heritages
  • 97 Ancestry feats
  • Edicts and anathema for each Ancestry
  • And much more!

I would really like to give this product a good review, but because the layout is just terrible, I will probably not even use it. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to make a double page spread take up only one landscape page should rethink their choice of career. Didn't realise that was how it was actually laid out until I went to print it (I have seen other .pdf products that appear as a double page spread when viewed in their default state, yet print as single portrait pages; sadly this one does not). Wasted $15, 20 pages of paper, and printer ink printing it out to have it totally in the wrong format to how my other printed .pdf products are laid out. The writing is too small for someone with bad eyesight to comfortably read and because I chose 'flip on long edge', thinking I was printing portrait, the pages are even backwards from how I like them set out in printed form.
Definitely won't be buying any more products from this author again until I know for certain any future products aren't in this...See more

Good afternoon Craig,

I am sorry for the disatisfaction. I can confirm that the double page spread issue is a simple export error on my part. My apologies but that issue will be fixed in the next update (due in the next 48 hours).

Regarding the legibility, I do not plan to increase the font of the base product as this would require me to reformat a large portion of the book. I am working on making the background more transparent so that the text pops out more. In the future I can look into creating a printer friendly version of the product for people to use, but currently I design my products for web use.

That is definitely good news about the double page spread issue. The main issue with the inability to read properly comes from the fact that when printed (and even on my laptop) the text is too small *because* two pages are on one page. Fixing the double page spread issue and making each page take up it's own single page instead should fix this problem as well.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
