How on earth do we get the stats for the Forms? If i'm playing as a unicorn form what do I get stat wise? Do you ONLY get the things listed? Do you get an AC? How about attack routines? do I attack with my fist and have a unicorn head? How about Sinspawn form? Do you actually take the FORM of the thing, or just some form of aura?

Because this seems like It's more a mutant class - how shifts work is crystal clear. But how the FORMS works is super muddy, and seems like Wild shape is far and away a "better" shapeshifter. The forms never get heightened, or physically improved? This suffers from the problems the shifter did - everyone wanted a class that was better at SHAPECHANGING, not a class that gave you tentacles and a wolf's head. 1e Shifter was AWEFUL, just a horrid class. The 3rd party legendary shifter was nearly mandatory.

In all seriousness, I bought the book and have zero idea how to even play as this class at this point.

Man, this is a rather creative class and I love many of the ideas in it... But... It REALLY needed another draft. There are many things I'd love to say about it but I'll stick to two points: 1) Too many "Ask the GM" and "Have the GM do it" sections including the 19th level ability Novel Gestalt which has issues. 2) There are 7 attack shifts and a few are either under tuned or significantly more powerful, On the low end there is Venom Jaws which is near useless (You'd literally take it ONLY to deal 1d4 extra damage on a successful grapple) and on the upper end is Fire fist and Wild Claws. I don't even think Tentacle is even all that great given its grapple suffers -5 MAP.

Lastly it also suffers quite a bit from: "Where is all this free time coming from?". Wizards at max need 10 hours. Shifters need to lug around a corpse for 24 hours and there is little ability to control when you get forms (Plus the ENTIRE week of downtime to replace favorite forms). As silly as it is,...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
