Allen_Childers_-_necromancer_small_dtrpg

Banned from the Boneyard is an expansion on the necromantic concepts laid forth in The Book of the Dead. As a member of the necromancer class, you practice magical arts forbidden to even the most faithful of clerics, the most studious of wizards, the cunningest of thaumaturges, and the wisest of druids. Learn the secrets of Geb, Kabriri, Urgathoa, and even the Whispering Way; just some of the power you can wield as one who risks being banned from the Boneyard.

==Includes==

  • The necromancer class: A full, 20-level  spellcaster who chooses how you study the darkest depths of necromancy.
  • 8 necromantic studies specific to Golarion: Gebbite, Kabririn, Mzali, Osirion, Shenmen, Spirit-Singing, Urgathoan, and the Whispering Way
  • Over 40 feats from 1st- through 20th-level.
  • A necromancer multiclass archetype for characters who want a taste of necromantic power.
  • 7 new spell tricks emphasizing necromancy for the spell trickster archetype.

This class is super cool! Love the design all over.

A couple questions about the Keldorn Necromancer feat:

Is it meant to provide a cast of Magic Weapon? Presumably this would be someone's main weapon, so it's fairly likely to have runes on it already, and being a level 6 feat it doesn't seem all that effective. Also, I feel like given it doesn't get expert til 11, the multiattacking that agile encourages isn't likely to happen much. Is there something I'm missing with what could be a cool feat?

Hi Thal,

Thank you very much for reaching out. I'm wrapping up my Patreon requirements today, but will address this question tomorrow when I have a little more time to look at it in detail.

TLDR; the feat grants several small benefits that round you out as a pseudo-melee.

Hey Thal, so sorry I got fully sidetracked over the holiday season. Okay, let's take this step by step.

1) With spirit singer as your necromantic study, you have proficiency with the bo staff.
2) The Keldorn Necromancer feat grants you (a spellcaster by trade) access to your own weapon other characters usually have to purchase. Up to now, you may have used a traditional bo staff which has reach but isn't great for multiple attacks usually.
3) You also can now use this bo staff to substitute material components, similar to the Eschew Materials feat given to wizards/sorcerers.
4) You can also use the critical specialization of the weapon; something that usually takes an ancestry feat or part of another class feat.

So in this feat, you get a number of small benefits that help you to smooth out being both a caster and a pseudo-melee character. Right now, your character can't get...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
