Kami Ancestry Guide

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Kamis are one of the oldest and wisest spirits to live. Often depicted as mysterious guardians of natural sanctuaries they are still an enigma for the world as testimonies of them only comes in form of tales and legends depicting them.

But now the world has changed, and time has come for kamis to leave their seclusion and venture in the outside world, travelling far and wide to face up great foes, make friends and take on challenges using the alliance of their divine and primordial powers they channel thanks to their ward to better understand their origins and find the true purpose of their existence.

You too can now walk this path using this 15-pages Kami Ancestry Guide for Pathfinder 2nd edition that presents you a totally new interpretation of an ancestry based on the traditional and classic Pathfinder monster, featuring:

-Extensive Lore section presenting you the core of a Kami's existence, from how they form and manifest their unique appearance to the way they choose their cause and link to their ward

-5 kamis factions, sorted as unique philosophies of life.

-Rules for the kami ancestry, with 6 brand new heritages and 58 feats from level 1 to 17 reflecting the uniqueness of these spirits and allowing you to play not just a kami but YOUR kami.

-Rules for the Ward of each kami, a bounded object acting as a focus to allow them to manifest in the material world or fuse with it when needed.

10/09 Update: New version with many typo and misstyping correction as well as some balance changes

I like it! They remind me a lot of Leshies, but with a spiritual body Instead of a plant body, and a weak connection to the divine.

Thank you !
Glad you like it, this spiritual body linked to both divine and nature was exactly what i wanted to convey, as it is for me the most important feature of kamis that differentiate them from most spirit, as they are at the same time spirits of nature and at the same time have this whole unclear link with divinities that supposedly create them, and what inspired me to write about them !

Hi !

Thanks for the comment. I'm currently starting to look into it, as many people asked and i would like for it to be available on Foundry in the end since it is a great tool and makes it much easier to pick up the ancestry and play. No ETA yet but it's definitely on the works !

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
