Magic is an ever-expanding field of study. Wizards construct new spells, druids befriend newly observed species, occultists uncover secrets thought lost, and clerics receive novel blessings. This book explores these lesser-known facets with new player options for Pathfinder Second Edition. Some of these options are recent discoveries in Golarion, but others are new only to game mechanics. Magical theories might be developed and expanded for centuries before being taught in primary academies, and long-held indigenous magical practices might enter the magical zeitgeist elsewhere. Still other practices, like mesmerism and shapeshifting, are often closely guarded secrets. Regardless of how you get there, learning something new is exciting!

This 144-page supplement of player options includes 2 new classes (Mesmerist and Shifter), 35 archetypes, new class options and feats for most spellcasting classes, spell skill actions, and over 60 new spells (including consolation cantrips).

Yes - That will actually be a briefer process. Shifter features required a while new structure, while mesmerist allows more copy-paste-modify.

Per my reading, you don't actually change shape. You simply modify your existing body for new abilities. Much like the OG Shifter, the Druid is actually a better shifter than the shifter is, because they're less limited and get farm more access to shape changing options, and more powerful options than the shifter.

So does the familiar adventurer just get to select any class they want? Also can they use the familiar archetype on themselves or does the chum get it?

So does the familiar adventurer just get to select any class they want? --> If you mean the familiar ancestry, yes. Aside from their unusual ancestry, they follow the regular rules for PCs

Also can they use the familiar archetype on themselves or does the chum get it? --> If you mean the familiar warrior archetype, no, that should only be for someone who has a minion familiar. I'll clarify that in the next update.

That's what I were I was looking for as shifter class. This is mindblowing. Is there a way I could help with making him into foundry module? As I think about making some if not all abilities for my character.

Hey, I was wondering how a familiar using the Playable Chum heritage would interact with the familiar abilities given by the familiar feat the Chum PC gets? Does it just ignore those abilities for balance or is there some kind of restriction on what abilities can be taken? Me and a friend are planning on doing this in a game so I want to make sure what happens in this scenario. It is a really fun looking book, great job making it!

Thanks! As I'm sure you've seen, there are LOTS of familiar/master abilities, so I would say to work out your choices with your GM. An easy rule would be "You can gain master abilities and they gain no familiar abilities," but there are probably other ways to parse it at your table. I'll add a sidebar with some suggestions on the next update.

Hey there! I absolutely love this supplement, it's chock full of awesome content. I also come with a question!
I've noticed that all the imbued archetypes that list 14 charisma as one of the possible prerequisites do not allow you to use charisma as your spellcasting ability. Is this intentional design, and if so, what is the reasoning behind it?

Thanks! I definitely meant to imply "...in addition to the usual Charisma stat" but I can see how that should be made explicit. I'm working on this section now in Foundry so I'll have an updated pdf posted soon.

This is most likely the best third-Party I have seen. Everything seems to fit so well together <3

My only comment is the text on the Alchemical Shifter Dedication that you need to take 2 other feats from it before you can get a new Dedications, and then there are no more feats for it ;) (Minor comment)

Great work and I hope you make something like this again <3

Thanks for the high praise!

On Alchemical Shifter Archetype, I do have, "Additional Feats: All alchemist archetype feats" with "[Alchemical Shapeshifting] counts as Alchemist Dedication." Does that resolve the problem you mention, or do you think alchemical shifter needs its own feat sequence?

And yes, I've got a couple things in the works.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
