Had a minor hiccup with this one when copying the manifest url - the double ts in "https" converted to a different character, which screwed up import. Couldn't get it to work through add-on modules, but eventually worked through the Bazaar deleting the symbol and replacing.

Thanks for reporting that publically since it could help others. I'm not sure why copy/paste from the pdf is breaking like that, but it is a thing. It is easy enough to retype the proper https, but you have to realize it is happening

Update to 1.7 and get images and tokens for your Rangers, Champions, Fighters, and Barbarians. Don't like the particular image assigned to the NPC you want? No worries. Just find the image you do like in the other characters, copy the image path from it, and paste that path into your NPC. This applies to the main image and the token image.

This, and the other foundry support modules are excellent. That said there is a minor bug I noticed. In the compendium view for the Barbarians, Champions, and Fighters, the entries lack the default creature icon and instead just have the names written in three lines over the top of itself.

I'm using FoundryVTT on the Forge hosting service.

Hey Brandon, I'm not sure why that's happening - perhaps Paul can shed some light on it. That said he is also working on an update where the tokens will have artwork

This issue should be gone now. The reason it was there is that it was pulling graphics from the gamemastery guide. I changed the module to give images directly.

I purchased three of the NPC Index titles last evening. I was able to install the modules, enable them, but when opening the compendium browser, the error stated that the compendiums "could not be loaded". I have emailed jax.pathfinder2e@gmail.com and waiting on a response. I'll update with a review if I get the 3 modules working.

I was able to import the content from the compendium (archive) but the modules do not load in the compendium browser.

I'll email you but I'll put my answer here because lots of people have this issue. Most likely you do not have both the Foundry and the PF2e system in the Foundry updated.

It was an issue with item migrations with the Pathfinder system updates over time. If that means nothing to you, don't worry about. Things should be working and let me know if they aren't.

In the newest update of 1.6 which is live right now, I'm attempting to get some art attached to the NPCs. Here are the directions.

1. Install PDF to Foundry Importer module
2. You need an official pdf of Paizo's Gamemastery Guide (GMG)
3. Import the Gamemastery Guide using the PDFtoFoundry module.
4. After refreshing, NPC Index: Warriors should have the art from this pdf. It is limited and human-centric because that is what the GMG has. Paizo has all the rights for this art. We are just providing a link to it, no different than the PDFtoFoundry module provides.
5. I'm interested in feedback (reply here) or email jax.pathfinder2e@gmail.com, particularly if this doesn't work for people. If it works, I'll stick it in Spellcasters and Specialists too.

This is a very extensive collection of NPC features you can use to create your own humanoid creatures. Very well put together.
Only thing I'm missing in Foundry: a quick overview of the creation rules. You don't need to replicate the entire PDF. But being able to quickly look up building guidelines in Foundry would be very useful ("How many abilities do I give this level 13 warrior again, and is his will moderate or poor"?

Hey Tilo, thanks for the feedback!

I'm working on the next in this series at the moment with Spellcasters. I'll take a look at what would be helpful in the Foundry doc. In all honesty, I don't want the Foundry doc to replace the need for buying the pdf because we saw them as companion pieces of work. I do want to be helpful though, so will look at what can be done and updated along with the next release.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
