Heroes of Omen: Level-Based Multiclassing PF2

ADD TO WISHLIST >

CH8p123character_small.pngFor the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game 2nd Edition

Includes:

  • Rules for level-based multiclassing.
  • A breakdown of the standard character progression and the benefits of multiclassing into each of the existing classes as of 2021 (through Guns & Gears) for easy reference.
  • 7 new multiclass feats from which level-based multiclass characters can choose.

There exists only so many choices one can make. Ancestry, background, class. Then you get your alotted features and various feats as you level up. But you want something else; something more...

Heroes of Omen: Level-Based Multiclassing takes the idea of multiclassing and returns it to its roots. Did your character’s story take them on a different path and they’re no longer the good soldier they began as? Were they blessed by some all-powerful being, learning its magic only to one day hear nothing but silence on the other end of their evocation? Or maybe you just want what the fighter offers at 1st level over that which you gain as a barbarian at 5th.

By implementing level-based multiclassing in your game, you are opening up a new collection of possibilities for your characters by allowing them to choose their class with each character level.

And don’t worry, we’ve done the hard part for you by making sure level-based multiclassing is as balanced as it can get to ensure characters are neither overly powerful (barring a slight bump between 2nd and 5th level with some combinations) nor suffering from a lack of standard progression. We even explain how level-based multiclassing affects and is affected by traditional multiclass archetypes and the free archetype game option.

So grab your tome and your greataxe. Summon your eidolon and pray to your deity. Then join us as we delve into level-based multiclassing for Pathfinder 2nd edition.

"Heroes of Omen: Level-Based Multiclassing takes the idea of multiclassing and returns it to its roots."
But the roots of multiclassing, the one in AD&D was literally gestalt class like in PF2e, not levels like in 3e!

While that is true of D&D, this is Pathfinder-based, which used the 3e multiclassing rules originally. Hence, back to the roots (of Pathfinder multiclassing). :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
